Bio
The William Deuel Band was formed in 2018, based in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. The band features original electric and acoustic rock/blues. Drawing inspiration from a wide mix of musical styles, the band has cultivated a sound all its own – described by one DJ as "heavy back beat, and overdriven ac-30 bright creamy guitar tones - so cut off your jeans, lace up your boots, and grab a fizzy golden beer, fists in the air it's summer time rock and roll." (DJ Pearson, 102.7 FM WEQX, EQXposure)
The William Deuel Band released their debut recording, Reset, a full-length LP, in August 2018, followed less than a year later by a 5 song EP, Whaddaya Say, in 2019. The band’s latest LP, Moment in Time, was released in August 2021. The three albums feature all original tracks written by William Deuel, who also provides lead vocals and rhythm and lead guitar, and Chris Reed, Jr. on drums, with Burnie Durfee on bass. All three works have received widespread recognition and radio play in the US and around the world, including WEXT 97.7 FM/106.1 FM, 103.5 FM, Radioradio X, and 102.7 FM WEQX, the latter of which garnered song reviews by NYSMusic.com. The band’s national and international acclaim includes Reset’s “Gravel Road” hitting #1 for November 2019 on The Bandwagon Network Radio and recognized as the “Most Liked Song of the Year” on their "Best of 2019 Indie Music Awards,” along with “Where You Been” going to #1 in April 2021. Internationally, the band has had success on Banks Radio and Sweet Sunday Sounds 89.5 FM in Australia, including all eight songs off the Moment in Time album hitting the Top 5 weekly charts, and several songs reaching the Top 10 weekly charts, including “Gravel Road,” “Help Me Go,” and “Follow Me Home." Multiple songs have been in the rotation on South Africa’s Zone Radio 88.5 FM and the band's entire song catalog received airtime on the UK’s Radio Wigwam, Belter Radio and Global Indies With Markie to note just a few.
The band has currently released a new single "Holdin' On" that came out September 9th on all major streaming sites.
